This paper explores the integration of university teaching and excellent traditional Chinese culture under the background of the new liberal arts. By analyzing the current situation and significance of integration, the study expounds on the connotation, value, and practical approaches. It is pointed out that the integration is conducive to cultivating students’ cultural self - confidence, promoting the
inheritance and innovation of traditional culture, and improving the quality of liberal arts education. Four practical approaches are proposed: curriculum system reconstruction, teaching method innovation, teaching staff training, and campus cultural atmosphere construction. Through case studies of typical universities, the effectiveness of the integration is verified, providing theoretical and practical references for promoting the integration of university teaching and excellent traditional Chinese culture in the context of the new liberal arts.
